Invoices & Payments

Within a short time after filing the Steward’s Report, an invoice is automatically generated in the online reporting system. An email notification is sent to both the primary and billing contacts advising them that the invoices are available and ready for processing by the Steward. Instructions for accessing the invoices will be included on the email notification. Payments for the 2012 obligation year are payable in equal installments and are due on:

• 1st payment: April 30, 2012
• 2nd payment: June 29, 2012
• 3rd payment: September 28, 2012
• 4th payment: December 3, 2012

Stewards that are required to file a Steward’s Report but are exempt from payment of fees because the aggregate quantity of kilograms that generated annualized fees of less than $250.00 will not receive an invoice.

Stewards who fail to pay fees by the dates specified above, may be subject to a penalty and interest payable in accordance with the Rules.

MMSM has been advised to collect and remit GST on steward fees, until such time as a ruling on GST is obtained from Canada Revenue Agency.
